Veronica Elizondo

CHIEF CREATIVE OFFICER

I was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, where someone once told me how lucky I was to know my passion so young. Indeed, since I was little, I have loved bringing shapes and forms to life – at first, with crayons and coloring pencils. When I grew up, I pursued an art career and completed a Bachelor of Graphic Design. I also spent a summer in Milan, Italy, for a graphic advertising course and moved to Miami, Florida, to complete the Art Direction portfolio program at Miami Ad School.

All these years later, I consider myself lucky: I am the Chief Creative Officer at Conill Saatchi & Saatchi, one of the hottest multicultural shops. During my time at Conill, my work has helped the agency earn "Ad Age Hispanic agency of the year," got its first Cannes Lion, and welcomed new businesses as clients. I even crossed the country to help open a brand-new office.

I am a believer in teamwork and continuous learning.

As the Creative Head, I supervise and collaborate with highly talented teams in both the L.A. and Dallas offices. Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones for the accounts we manage. For instance, we played a pivotal role in bringing and maintaining Toyota's position as the top auto brand in sales for 19 consecutive years within the Latino community. Additionally, I facilitated the brand's transition towards a total market approach, participating in projects targeting not only the Hispanic segment but also the general market.

During this journey, I have also worked on projects for accounts such as T-Mobile, Burger King, Fidelity, Reliant, Alaska Airlines, Aflac, AB InBev's Budweiser & Estrella Jalisco, and Nestlé's Coffee-Mate.

Furthermore, I am honored to have received recognition from many international award shows, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio, One Show, Fiap, El Sol, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Ad Age Hispanic Awards, WAVE, Premio Quorum, and Effie.

I also feel privileged to have judged numerous festivals, such as El Sol, WAVE, the U.S.H. Hispanic Awards, FePI, ANA Multicultural, and the Radio Mercury Awards. Additionally, Digiday named me one of the "5 Hispanic shop creatives you need to know."

I constantly ask myself what's next. While I work that out, I'll have my camera, sketchbook, and orange marker at the ready.
